After reading a couple of reviews on this tea on one of the tea forums I wanted to give it a try. This is a delicious black tea with a mild flavor and no bitterness. A really terrific afternoon tea for when you just need that little something to get you through the rest of the day.
A nice bold black

Dry leaves: Opening the pouch, there is a bold aroma of pepper and clove with a melon coolness. The leaves are longer than those of most blacks, and are jet black in color with a few golden tips.

Steeping: This tea brews up to a nice warm brown color. The leaves expand and unfurl to a smooth muddy, melted chocolate brown.

Tasting: This is a nice, bold black tea. It’s pleasantly bitter with a woody, peppery body and notes of cocoa, clove, and citrus.

I typically drink yunnan teas, but this makes for a nice way to add variety while still getting the bold flavor I like.
I love this tea!

I adore rich, full-bodied blacks and this one fits the bill. I brew this strong and it is not bitter or astringent. The cocoa notes are prominent with the fruit lagging until the last.

I wasn't sure I would like this the first time I tasted it but now I am. Has a nice earthy flavor without being too grassy. I add about 1 tsb of sugar and oversteep it to make it stronger. No bitter aftertaste.

This is going to be one of my favorite black teas. This tea is smooth but a nice black tea taste that does not get too bitter.

I know I'm going to sound like a coffee commercial, but I love the full-bodied flavor of this tea. It goes down smooth. Great as a breakfast tea.

I enjoyed this tea as a strong afternoon pick me up cup. It has a deepness to it that I don't find in other afternoon teas. I like the cocoa notes I'm picking up in this one.
